The common interest is that everyone contributes to an optimal fulfillment of the customer demand. The Eindhoven office is known for the diversity of projects: from the Electronics market segment, where you are involved in a High Tech company for example, to Clean Technology projects, where clean rooms must be designed innovatively and in accordance with technical requirements. Team Eindhoven does it all!
Here's where
- We worked on the development and design of a sustainable and modern building for the Netherlands Institute for Space Research (SRON), which develops measurement instruments for satellites. SRON was moving to the Leiden BioScience Park and had high demands on the new building in terms of sustainability, clean rooms and installation technology. As a research institute dedicated to studying the Earth's atmosphere, SRON felt it was important to minimize the impact on nature and the environment. Therefore, Deerns chose heat pumps in the design for heating and cooling the building and solar panels were installed on the roof. On top of it all, the building received the BREEAM-NL certificate Excellent.
- We have been working on a feasibility study for GlobalWafers' new production line in Italy to end the long-term chip shortage. GlobalWafers, one of the six largest producers of silicon wafers in the world, wants to build a new, modern production facility in Italy to meet demand for the latest generation of high-purity 300 mm EPI wafers. During several working sessions, the Electronics unit incorporated processes into a building design with all the necessary technologies, where we also advised on cost and feasibility. Based on the production processes for the new product, all requirements were translated into a multi-story building.
This is you
