Role Summary

As Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will support and further develop Deerns’ global IT environment. This role goes beyond traditional system administration and plays a key part in our transition towards a scalable, global IT operating model, with teams across the Netherlands, India, and future locations.

Based in our office in Thane, India, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership, structure, and continuous improvement. You will not only resolve technical issues but actively contribute to improving how IT services are delivered across regions.

The ideal candidate is a senior IT professional who is comfortable working in an international, fast-growing environment, and who takes responsibility for both technical stability and service quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Infrastructure

  •            Provide high-quality L1/L2 support to internal users

  •            Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, networks, and OS

  •            Manage Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365

  •            Support servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and network infrastructure

  •            Contribute to Azure and hybrid cloud environments

Service Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  •            Take ownership of service quality and user experience

  •            Identify recurring issues and drive structural improvements

  •            Contribute to ITIL-based processes (incident, problem, and change management)

  •            Improve documentation, standard procedures, and knowledge sharing

  •            Identify automation and efficiency improvements

  •            Support the development of a scalable and standardized global IT support model

Global Collaboration & Seniority

  •            Work closely with international IT teams (Netherlands and other Countries)

  •            Support standardization across tools, processes, and ways of working

  •            Collaborate with internal development and support teams on complex issues

  •            Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies

  •            Take initiative in situations where processes or ownership are not yet fully defined

  •             Contribute to building a structured, reliable, and scalable IT environment in India

Job requirements

Who You Are

Must Have

  •            8–12+ years in IT support / infrastructure / systems engineering

  •            Strong knowledge of Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory

  •            Experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, user management)

  •            Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

  •            ITIL or structured service management experience

  •            Experience working with international or distributed teams, remotely

  •            Strong problem-solving skills with focus on root cause and improvement

  •            Proactive, independent, and structured way of working

  •            Experience in enterprise environments (100+ users)

  •            Fluent English
