Job description

Become a Business Development Manager - Advisor at Deerns and help build the future of Life Sciences!

The challenge

Are you looking for a challenging position at a consulting and engineering firm that is large enough to operate at the top level, but at the same time manageable enough to really feel at home?

As Business Development Manager - Life Sciences Advisor at Deerns, you will play a key role in developing and executing our business development and go-to-market strategies in the Netherlands. Your commitment is essential to achieving our growth ambitions and revenue targets.

In addition, you are responsible for building, maintaining and expanding valuable client relationships. Thanks to your technical expertise and strategic approach, you will not only help Deerns move forward, but also contribute to the success of our clients.

This is what you will do:

In this role, you will work closely with one or more project managers and form a close-knit team. You are constantly talking to clients, advising them on the best suited solutions and thinking proactively.

Thanks to your experience, you not only know how to answer existing questions, but you also offer innovative ideas and solutions that the customer might not have thought of yet.

You will advise clients at all stages of the design process and support the project manager in communicating the design. By building strong relationships with clients, you will ensure that you are involved in projects at an early stage.

In addition to your substantive consulting role, you are actively engaged in identifying leads and opportunities within the Life Sciences sector. You closely follow market developments and translate these insights into strategic opportunities for Deerns and its clients. You do this by formulating and implementing a clear business development strategy, ensuring a strong alignment with the business objectives.

To grow the pipeline of project opportunities, you will maintain relationships with existing clients and actively approach new clients. You will work closely with the global sector team to expand your network, enabling Deerns to strengthen its presence in the market.

Within the account management process, you will prepare account plans and implement targeted actions to deepen customer relationships.

You manage and follow up on leads, pre-qualification questionnaires and RFP documents, and contribute to the optimization of the tender process. In addition, you support project managers in contract negotiations and risk analyses.

Your efforts directly contribute to the growth of the Life Sciences unit within Deerns!

The team

  • You are results-oriented, creative and know how to work effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines. Traveling for customer visits, both within the Netherlands and occasionally abroad, is not a problem for you
