Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeler specializing in Electrical and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating BIM models for MEP services, ensuring compliance with project standards, BIM workflows, LOD & Client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical and ELV systems (lighting, power distribution, cable trays, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, data systems) using Autodesk Revit.
• Interpret design Inputs and drawings, and project documents to create accurate 3D models.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (HVAC, Plumbing and Firefighting, Architectural, Structural) to ensure clash-free models.
• Generate complete Combined Services Drawings.
• Perform clash resolution using Navisworks Manage or similar tools.
• Generate drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models.
• Ensure all drawings and records are updated, controlled and in place throughout lifecycle of the project.
• Support BIM Coordinator/Manager in model audits, quality checks, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs & provide regular status updates to Superiors/Principal.
Job requirements
Skills & Competencies Required:
• ITI/Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in BIM modelling for Electrical & ELV systems
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IEC, NFPA, local electrical codes), Having design experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in international projects.
• Must be self-initiative, disciplined, punctual and hardworking.
• Basic knowledge of Revit Plugins for automation in Revit.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English Language.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Software & Technology:
• Autodesk Revit (mandatory)
• Navisworks Manage (for clash detection)
• AutoCAD (basic)
• ACC and other cloud collaboration platforms.
